Recommendations: The original colors are red, vermillion, green, blue, yellow and white. Red dots may be added around the outside of the versal, as well as outside the box surrounding the first line of text.

Recommendations: The large leaves and mushroom-looking flowers are of various colors: cobalt blue, burt sienna, alizaran crimson and oxide of chromium. Each leaf and flower has lighlights in lighter shades of color and white lining. The small blank circles with squiggles are painted metallic gold, as well as the almond shaped heads at the top and left center of the design (refer to the diagram on the scroll). Small leaves on vinework are painted medium to dark green with no highlights or lining. There are two borders. The inside border is split in half with one half painted a medium red and the other half cobalt blue. Whitework is painted on the top of the two colors in a vine pattern. The outside border is painted a metallic gold.

Recommendations: The versal was originally in rose madder with the leaves alternating between rose madder with a white wash for highlighting and a sky blue with a white wash for highlighting. The rod was a permanant green light. Basically, the colors used are a light to medium range. The background areas behind the leaves were painted metalic gold, but can be left blank if desired.

Recommendations: The colors used are light to medium blue, as in sky blue or cobalt blue, and orange-red, as in scarlet lake, a medium green, like permanant green middle, and a soft fuchsia/violet shade, with white lines for highlighting and darker colors for shading. The bar coming down is metallic gold with soft fuchsia / violet and medium green buds peeking out from the sides. Each bud has a white dot in the center.
